Fundraise for us
Do something amazing!
Organising your own fundraising event can be great fun and is an amazing way to raise money for BlindAid. Whether you hold a bake sale, sponsored walk or non-uniform day, your support will help us reach more visually impaired people.
It all starts with an idea
What event do you fancy? What do you love to do already that could raise money?
We are a small team but we will support and cheer you on all the way. In the meantime, our fundraising toolkit is full of handy hints, top tips and advice to get you started. It also helps you make sure you’re safe and legal and tells you how to make the most of the event and your fundraising.
Please get in touch to tell us what you’re doing and how we can help you: email our fundraising manager, Clarissa, at cferguson@blindaid.org.uk or call 020 7403 6184
Ready to go?
Now it’s time to organise the event!
- Set a goal: every amount raised – small or large – is vital for us to continue our work. Aim high, stay positive and tell everyone
- Plan it: break it down into manageable pieces so you can decide how the money will be raised
- A little help: don’t feel you have to do everything on your own. Ask for help and support from your family, friends or colleagues – or us!
Stay safe and legal
We are so grateful to everyone who fundraises for us. However, it is important to remember there are rules we need to follow to keep safe. We outlined those most relevant in our toolkit.
Spread the word!
Create a JustGiving page and share links on your social media, tell family and friends, design posters and share your story with the local press.
Give the Gift of Your Time
If you’re
- Organised
- A self-starting leader
- A talented opportunity spotter and go-getter
- Keen to support BlindAid long-term,
then becoming a fundraising volunteer might be for you!
We’re a small team here at BlindAid and fundraising volunteers help support us in the local community at events or by organising their own.
If you would like to become a BlindAid fundraising ambassador get in touch with Clarissa at cferguson@blindaid.org.uk and arrange a visit to discuss the perfect role.
